If we talk about weather…

Unfortunately the time has come… for winter! I know it’s a little strange when I said it almost in the middle of December but until yesterday morning I didn’t really feel before that I will ever see winter here.

I never in my life experienced such a diversity as here. 2  days ago I was in Barcelona and during one moment of the day there was around 20 degree with cloudless sky. Somepeople were sunbathing on the beach, some of the guys were still surfing in the sea. What can I say other than this: Vic is different. When you look at the map it seems that 70 km is so little, but if we talk about weather… it’s a huge difference. Don’t get me wrong in Barcelona it’s getting cold as well, especially in the morning but when I came back to Vic I felt I will freeze!

Just take a look of some of those pictures and feel the pain that I felt. Despite all we still didn’t have any snow. Everything you see it’s just a hoarfrost…

It happened what I feared the most… I can’t imagine my life now without mountains… and what now ?

GRAN RECAPTE D’ALIMENTS

Tiredness after 12 hours of work is big but satisfaction you feel compensate you everything.

On 29th and 30th of November held another edition of Gran recapte d’ aliments organized in all Catalunya. During these two days in all supermarkets thousands of volunteers were collecting food for people in need. I really happy that I could be a part of this. Only in Vic we had dozens of volunteers. I can’t believe how much food we collected. Almost everyone who comes to the shops left something for those who need a help from us.

Some people left a lot of food. One situation coming to my mind when one customer brought all the basket with food and said everything that he has owes to Catalunya and people that live here. He want to give something back. Such initiatives really bring people together.

I was working with Raul who like others sacrifice his day off at work to work as a volunteer. We were receiving the food collected in supermarkets and have transported to the warehouse in Vic where others volunteers segregated them and prepared everything for next week when all the food will be distributed.

It was a good day ! A big thank you for all that I have met yesterday !
